Those who are okay today share a dark memory, an honest effort to compel me. But I wonder if the sharing helps that guilt, that to themselves this was not dealt. Last night in another dream, you were singing every word so sweet. One more song cause we're not done. It was an encore of our love. And I know all that begins, will eventually end. Way back, shared so much in turn but now it blurs. A story's middle passes by, Just remember the book ends of our time.

I've been stuck since we moved here. Swear I've been shrinking, can't see myself in the mirror. And you've been stuck as long as me. Trying hard to realize a life that makes you free. Take my hand, let's sing a song. Something that's full of hope that we can learn from. We've been stuck so long, forgot how to run. What we had in mind feels so far away. One step forward, five steps back, one foot forward is all we have. Oh honey if I'm stuck, at least I'm stuck with you. When we first met I had a clear plan. Now that we're half way along it's like I never did understand. Certain we'll see our lives work out. Some way some how, as out there as it sounds.

The Cold 03:29
Winter's coming, see it in your eyes, and I can't help from showing you my lack of surprise. A stare so cold it froze my smile, clear to me you care. All my time is mine to spend but I must never spend it there. And later in the evening, our blanket made of snow, we lay so close together, our chill we dared not show. Oh I can't bear the cold anymore. And so I lit a single candle and tried to warm my hand, holding it so close to me, as close as I could stand. I tried to tell us both we could see this winter through, but just like me you could only see that we had better end it soon. Cause I had never said goodbye to the girl who'd made me warm, no longer could I fool you, saying we were torn.
